She initially became well-known due to her work on the Okay Fm's Yewo Krom Morning Show and UTV Ghana's Kokrooko, as well as her connections to TV Africa, the Angel Group of Companies, and other media outlets.

She was originally found by her closest friend, producer Deloris Frimpong, who wrote most of the TV series she featured in. She worked with well-known individuals, which helped her become well-known.

Afia Schwarzenegger has founded businesses like QAS Purified Water, Pena Drinking Water, Dolphin Beach Resort at Teshie, Owontaa Street Ministry (OSM), a non-profit that helps Ghana's underprivileged children, Leave2live Foundation (L2F), a domestic abuse organization, and Schwar FM, despite working with others.
